A few potential landing spots have begun to emerge for Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson, if Patrik Allvin does decide to trade him during the summer.
With Vancouver's offseason fully underway, the team's management group of Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford are busy evaluating where they stand with their current roster.
While negotiations with pending free agents will likely take priority in the weeks ahead, one player to keep an eye on this summer is Elias Pettersson, who Patrik Allvin
may listen to trade offers on before the start of next season.

When it comes to the Anaheim Ducks and them potentially becoming a landing spot, Tingly believes Pettersson could be a mentor to fellow Swede
Leo Carlsson, although it'll cost them
Trevor Zegras.
"The Ducks have a ton of cap space to work with and could move Trevor Zegras to Vancouver in a package for Pettersson, who would be a great mentor for Leo Carlsson." Tingly said.
If the Vancouver Canucks decide to go down the trade route this summer with Elias Pettersson, it certainly won't be an easy deal to get done for a number of different reasons.
For starters, Elias Pettersson is coming off his worst season statistically since becoming an NHLer (aside from the COVID shortened 2021 campaign) which would mean his value isn't very high and the return Patrik Allvin could receive wouldn't be great.
The other reason, probably the biggest one, no pun intended, is Elias Pettersson's contract which has seven years remaining on it with an average annual value of $11.6 million.
There aren't many teams around the National Hockey League that would be able to take on Pettersson's full salary, which would mean the Canucks may have take back a bad contract in a potential trade.
For fans wondering when an Elias Pettersson trade could happen, it's more likely than not that'll come around the draft or leading up to July 1st, which is when the Canucks forward's full no-movement clause kicks in.
After that date, Pettersson would have to waive his no-movement clause to facilitate a trade, which means he'll have full control of where he goes and that'll further limit the return Patrik Allvin could get.
