Following Friday's practice, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet provided updates on defencemen Elias Pettersson and Tyler Myers.

The Vancouver Canucks are coming off a big shootout win on Wednesday night against their division rivals, the Calgary Flames where they lost defenseman Elias Pettersson after getting hit in the head by Connor Zary.
Not only did the team lose Elias Pettersson during the game, they didn't have veteran blueliner Tyler Myers in the lineup as he was out for undisclosed reasons.

Rick Tocchet gives update on Elias Pettersson & Tyler Myers ahead of Saturday's game

When speaking with reporters following Friday's practice, Rick Tocchet said that Elias Pettersson is good to go for Saturday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks, while Tyler Myers' status for the tilt has been upgraded to probable.
"Rick Tocchet says Tyler Myers has been upgraded to probable ahead of tomorrow's game vs. Chicago. Says D-Petey is "full go". Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet said.
There was also a welcome sight at practice as Thatcher Demko was among three goaltenders on the ice after being placed on injured reserve last month with a lower-body injury.
Demko last suited up for the Vancouver Canucks on February 8th against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but was forced to leave with an injury ten minutes into the first period.

Filip Hronek and Conor Garland not at Friday's practice

As the Vancouver Canucks took to the ice for practice at UBC, there were a couple of notable absences as Filip Hronek and Conor Garland were not among those participating.
Tocchet told reporters that Filip Hronek was given a maintenance days, while Conor Garland is a little banged up right now.
Here's a look at what practice lines looked like with Hronek and Garland on the sidelines:
"Friday #Canucks practice lines
