Tocchet goes one on one with Pettersson ahead of playoffs
The Canucks are gearing up for a return to the playoffs against the Nashville Predators, and while the intensity is expected to be through the roof, head coach Rick Tocchet is keeping things light ahead of the series.
Tocchet took his superstar forward Elias Pettersson aside for a one on one chat at Saturday's practice, but TSN's Farhan Lalji says it appeared to be a lighthearted chat.
Lalji says that Tocchet joked with Pettersson to keep his mind locked in ahead of tomorrow.
No video games tonight,
Tocchet says he advised Pettersson.
While just joking around, it's not bad advice for Pettersson and the Canucks, who back in 2018 actually banned their players from playing Fortnite due to it being a distraction.
By all accounts, Pettersson and the team are locked in for tomorrow's matchup.
