NHL insider Frank Seravalli has given an update on Vancouver Canucks unrestricted free agent target Jack Roslovic, who remains unsigned as of Thursday, August 14th.

For about a month now, the Vancouver Canucks have been linked to former first round pick Jack Roslovic, as Patrik Allvin and the team's management continue to evaluate their options to bring in a centerman to round out the roster.
The cost to sign isn't going to be cheap with reports suggesting that he's seeking a three-year contract, potentially in the range of $3 million USD annually, which is a deal the Canucks could probably work with, however, they may have to move out one more player to create some space, perhaps someone like Teddy Blueger.
As the offseason continues and training camp five weeks away, Roslovic is going to have to make a decision on his future relatively soon and this week, NHL insider Frank Seravalli gave an update ont eh 28-year-old.

While making an appearance on Bleacher Report's NHL Insider Notebook, Frank Seravalli spoke about Jack Roslovic and where he could end up for the 2025-26 season and beyond.
According to Seravalli, Roslovic is getting closer to signing a contract with an NHL club, adding that the Vancouver Canucks would be a great fit for him, if they're able to make it all work, along with the Toronto Maple Leafs, although they have some cap issues they would need to figure out first.
Seravalli also mentioned that while they don't necessarily have a spot for him at the moment, the door hasn't been closed on a potential return to the Carolina Hurricanes, where he spent the 2024-25 season and tied a career-high in goals (22).
Roslovic, a native of Columbus, Ohio, has 526 games of NHL experience under his belt and even though he likely wouldn't be a second line option for the Canucks, if he's able to come in, play on the third line and contribute 15-20 goals, that would go a long way for a Vancouver team that finished 24th in goals for last year.
