Vancouver Canucks Elias Pettersson Joins Nashville Predators' Filip Forsberg in Dream Lineup
Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg names Team Sweden Teammate and Vancouver Canucks centre Elias Pettersson as dream linemate at this years 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
The inaugural 4 Nations Face-off Tournament, which features the NHLs best players from Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States will compete in a seven-game event, taking place from Feb 12th-20th at the Bell Centre in Montréal, Québec and TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
The tournament essentially replaces the annual All-Star game and skills competition, which has been in major decline the last several years.
Even though the Face-Off will not take place for another month, the rosters from each team have already been set and many players have already started naming who they want to be lined-up with.
Filip Forsberg Names Elias Pettersson As Dream Linemmate
When Filip Forsberg was asked about who he is most excited to play with when the tournament commences, the Nashville Predators forward named dropped our Vancouver Canucks superstar Elias Pettersson.
"It's hard to hard to do that," said Forsberg when discussing potential linemates. "I feel like there's just an overload of talent, and we're very fortunate enough to have the players that we have, obviously. I think just up the middle, I think, you know, Elias Pettersson is somebody that has done so well in this league, And you know, kind of not watching, but a little bit watching coming out of Sweden a few years ago, and how he's transitioned to the NHL and become a superstar in this league too. That's somebody that you know I'm looking forward to playing with. I haven't played with him before, so that would be exciting."
With all the drama surrounding Vancouver Canucks teammates J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, at least Forsberg wants to play with EP40.
The Vancouver Canucks that will be playing in the 4-Nation Face-off are J.T. Miller, Quinn Hughes for Team USA, goalie Kevin Lankinen for Finland and Elias Pettersson for Sweden.
