A new top-six forward target has emerged for Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks as the club examines their options if they need to replace pending unrestricted free agent Brock Boeser.
The Vancouver Canucks are going to be quite busy over the next four to five weeks as Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford attempt to improve the team's roster heading into the 2025-26 campaign.
Vancouver has some holes they'll need to fill this summer, including on the wing in their top-six as Brock Boeser
is expected to hit the open market on July 1st and is reportedly a longshot to re-sign with the club, according to David Pagnotta of
The Fourth Period.
"Boeser, 28, is a 'longshot' to re-sign with the Canucks, one team source confirmed to me this week. He is prepared to move on to the next chapter of his career and will attract significant interest this summer, especially given the limited market."

This week, David Pagnotta and his team at The Fourth Period released an updated 'Trade Watch List' as we head into the busiest time of the year for teams around the National Hockey League.
Coming in at 17th on The Fourth Period's list is Utah Mammoth forward
Matias Maccelli, who is reportedly open to a change of scenery as he enters the final year of his contract and is nearly 12 months away from becoming a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.
"Utah made Maccelli available during the season and the belief is the player is open to a change of scenery. Could the Mammoth package him up for an upgrade up front? He's in the final year of his contract."
Maccelli, 24, had a tough year for Utah, finding himself in the press box on several occasions and many thought he would've been dealt by the club ahead of the trade deadline in early March.
The Turku, Finland native finished the season with 18 points (eight goals, ten assists) in 55 games, one year after putting up 57 points in 82 games when the organization was still in Arizona.
A fresh start could do wonder for Matias Maccelli and the speed and offense he's capable of bringing on a nightly basis makes him someone that would be a really attractive target for the Vancouver Canucks.
