The first 15 games of the NHL season have not gone the Canucks way to say the least, with a mediocre team, and many injuries, the Canucks find themselves in a do or die situation very early on, they are currently looking at three players to save their season, Pavel Zacha, Nazem Kadri and Steven Stamkos.

The Canucks did not want to sign a 2nd line center this summer, and now they have no choice but to trade for one if they want to be competitive.
"For now, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin will continue to do his best to keep this team in the mix for a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs as he looks to make a big addition to the roster via trade, but if the club misses out for a second straight year and fifth time in the last six seasons, then it might be time for a rebuild to be seriously considered."-Jaxon

Canucks have three trade targets to save them from disaster.

Matthew Zator of the Hockey News reported on the three players the Canucks are eying, all three of them are centers and good enough to play on the 2nd line, which is the biggest gap the Canucks have currently.
"The Canucks' centre depth is really thin right now, even with the acquisition of Lukas Reichel, who is probably better used as a winger. As a result, it's no surprise that general manager (GM) Patrik Allvin is still working the phones to try and acquire a second-line centre, with the latest rumours suggesting Steven Stamkos, Pavel Zacha and Nazem Kadri as options."-Zator

Steven Stamkos has struggled a lot since joining the Nashville Predators, he desperately needs a facilitator to drive the play for him, it might compliment Elias Pettersson's plays style and both could reignite their form together. Kadri would offer more of an immediate impact however.
"Despite being on the older side at 35, Kadri has been very productive lately, hitting a career high of 35 goals last season. He is also a solid two-way player and has proven to be a difference-maker in the playoffs. His faceoff numbers aren't as impressive in Calgary as they were in Colorado and Toronto, but he still hovers around the 50 percent mark, which is better than most centres on the Canucks."-Zator

Zacha would be a reliable option who provides both defence and offence. He is the prototype 2nd line center who will put up decent points, but will never hurt you in the defensive zone. The Canucks need one these three to get them out of their jam.
