The Vancouver Canucks' management group toured a potential practice facility this week as they look for a solution to a problem they've had for over a decade.

For the last 15 years, the Vancouver Canucks have been searching for a practice facility of their own after holding skates at their home rink, Rogers Arena, or at the University of British Columbia.
Vancouver is one of the only teams in the National Hockey League that doesn't have a practice facility of their own and back in April, Jim Rutherford told reporters that while they don't have a timeline, they're going to get something done and it's a priority for the organization.
"I assure you, we're going to get this done, maybe long after I'm here, maybe long after I'm even on this earth but it'll get done," Rutherford said.

The offseason is in full swing for the Vancouver Canucks as they've found their next Head Coach, signed Derek Forbort to a one-year contract and now, appear to be getting serious about their search for a practice facility.
In a post on social media on Wednesday, X user @ryan_bains shared a picture of Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford, along with Francesco Aquilini's son Dax and President of Business Operations Michael Doyle touring the Rosemary Brown Recreation Center in Burnaby, British Columbia.
".@DonnieandDhali @DonTaylor5 @DhaliwalSports @RJHenderson7 #canucks brass checking out Rosemary Brown Rec Centre in Burnaby as a potential practice facility."
The Rosemary Brown Recreation Center opened a little over a year ago, so the facilities are new, something that's a big positive for the Vancouver Canucks as there won't need to be a major renovation done to accommodate the team.
The Burnaby facility has two NHL-sized rinks, along with a viewing area on the second floor for fans to attend, if they wish, along with meeting and multi-purpose rooms, the latter of which the Vancouver Canucks may need to do a slight renovation to in order to set up a gym & weight room for the team.
Not having a practice facility has hurt the organization in the past, most recently with the departure of Rick Tocchet, who said it played a role in his decision to leave and join the Philadelphia Flyers.
"I would be lying to you if practice facility wasn't a reason." Tocchet said according to Rick Dhaliwal.

We'll have to wait and see where things go, but it looks like the organization is finally getting aggressive in their search for a permanent spot and perhaps we could see the club find one in time for training camp in September.
