To officially kick off the second week of free-agency, the Vancouver Canucks have officially come to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with a key member of the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) Calder Cup Championship team.

Already just over a week into NHL free-agency frenzy, Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has been heavy on the phones in order to upgrade their roster and fill in the necessary holes that effected them negatively during the 2024-25 season.
Some of the more notable moves includes re-signing veteran forward Brock Boeser and goalie Thatcher Demko, along with trading for controversial forward Evander Kane in which the Canucks sent over a 4th-round pick.

Now, Allvin has announced another significant signing, agreeing to terms with RFA defenseman, and key member of the 2024-25 Calder Cup Championship team.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have agreed to terms with defenceman Jett Woo on a one-year, two-way contract.
«Jett was a key member of our playoff run in Abbotsford,» said Allvin. «Logging those minutes in the playoffs should help him become a better player and leader moving forward. It's an experience he can build on this fall to start next season."

Originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks, 37th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, he now tries to feed off this past season in order to make the big club out of camp.
The 24-year-old 24 d-man appeared in 67 games for the Abbotsford Canucks in 2024-25, scoring 2 goals and 16 assists for 18 points with a solid +14 plus/minus rating.
