Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has announced some bad news regarding a pair of key players ahead of their road trip, which begins tonight.
After a 1-2-0 homestand, with their lone win coming on Sunday against the Edmonton Oilers, the Vancouver Canucks will be back in action tonight as they kick off their three-game road trip against a familiar face,
Pius Suter and the St. Louis Blues.
As everyone knows by now, the Vancouver Canucks have had their fair share of injury issues on their National Hockey League roster, with
the latest being Conor Garland, who left Tuesday's game against the New York Rangers.
Vancouver's injury issues have caused a trickle-down effect throughout the organization as Patrik Allvin has been forced to dip down to Abbotsford to bring up several players to the NHL, including
including a former Stanley Cup champion, Mackenzie MacEachern just before the team headed out on the road.

Before the Canucks left for St. Louis, General Manager Patrik Allvin told Patrick Johnston of
The Province that both Conor Garland and
Quinn Hughes would not be travelling with them, with the hope that their captain can join them either on Saturday or next Monday.
"Per @risingaction:
#Canucks GM Patrik Allvin tells me neither Conor Garland nor Quinn Hughes are travelling with the team. Canucks flying to St. Louis today.
Allvin still hopeful Hughes can join the team in either Minnesota or Nashville." TSN's Farhan Lalji said.
Hughes, 26, hasn't had the best of starts to the season when it comes to his standard of play, leading some to wonder if he was injured leading up to last Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens.
In nine games, Hughes has seven points (one goal, six assists), no penalty minutes and is a minus-one.
As for Conor Garland, he has stepped up in a big way for the Vancouver Canucks early on this season and as things stand on Thursday morning, leads his team with 11 points (three goals, eight assists).
Given how important Hughes and Garland are to this team and any success they have this season, hopefully they aren't out for too long and that they'll be able to return at some point on their three-game road trip.
