Vancouver Canucks Refuse to Offer Contract to Highly Touted Prospect

The Vancouver Canucks are looking at adding big names this offseason, but it appears one name they are not going to be offering a contract to is highly touted prospect Lucas Forsell.
As the Vancouver Canucks sit at home watching other teams compete for the Stanley Cup in a season where they were fully expect to make a run, general manager Patrik Allvin is going to have one heck of a job this offseason trying to make up for lost ground.
This fact rings more true now that the number for former 40-goal scorer Brock Boeser has been revealed, and it might be too much for them to keep him.
Vancouver Canucks appear to not have interest in offering a contract to Lucas Forsell
While in the scuffle today where the Canucks signed 22-year-old forward Anri Ravinskisto his entry level contract, a new report came out that made it known they will not be doing the same for Lucas Forsell.
It does not appear the #Canucks will be offering Lucas Forsell a contract.
If the #Canucks want to keep the rights of Lucas Forsell and Hugo Gabrielson, they must sign them within the next 10 days. They will come off Vancouver's reserve list on June 1, 2025

After being drafted late by the Vancouver Canucks in the 7th round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Forsell has yet to fully prove he has what it takes to come over to North America and play with the big club.
In the last two seasons in Sweden, Forsel has racked up only 8 goals and 8 assists in 92 games, which is the prime reason the organization will mostly let him go.
