Dakota Joshua threw a massive hit on David Kampf, and the Leafs' bench boss had some complaining to do. The impact went unpenalized, and Sheldon Keefe thought things should of been different:
The referees judged it wasn't a penalty; Kampf did end up playing the rest of the game, despite his swollen face. Joshua then answered for his acts and dropped the gloves to the veteran Mark Giordano.
It sure is nice to see Joshua throwing his body around. Tocchet asked to get more from him on various occasions since the season started, and he's starting to show up. The line he forms with Conor Garland and Pius Suter was highly noticeable in Montreal last night, and it's precisely the depth scoring the Canucks need.
