BREAKING: Expected return date for Demko revealed
Thatcher Demko has been out for quite a while now and it's certainly been hard on the team since Spencer Martin hasn't been able to hold down the fort and neither was the club during his absence. While he hasn't performed up to his expectations since the beginning of the campaign, his return is very much anticipated.
Bruce Boudreau had previously revealed that Demko was meant to be out for longer than the initial 6 weeks timetable that was first given by the Canucks' medical staff. While in an interview last night he made intriguing revelations about the team's star goaltender.
«[Demko] skated this morning, so that was really good. No equipment or nothing. He skated this morning and he felt pretty good. He's hoping to at least put the equipment on, hoping before this week is out.»
The team's head coach hopes that both Demko and Pearson (who's been for quite a while now) will join the team on the incoming trip. He expects Demko to be back after the All-Star break that is set to take place on February's 1st weekend.
The Canucks could really use one of these highlights reel saves right now:
