BREAKING | NHL fines yet another Head Coach
The NHL hasn't been scared to fine it's this year, Sheldon Keefe and Paul Maurice already have paid their due for all their words against the officiating and the NHL has made another victim.
Erik Karlsson threw a tantrum in their game last night after the officials missed a high stick in the star defender's face. Funny enough, David Quinn had also lost his temper on the referee Saturday night. The words and actions he chose were deemed unacceptable by league's highest authorities:
"San Jose Sharks' coach David Quinn has been fined $25,000 for conduct demeaning the officials that resulted in a game misconduct during NHL Game No. 993 on Saturday, Mar. 5, the National Hockey League announced today."
If so many coaches and players feel they need to voice their disagreement with the officiating this year, perhaps it's time we looked into the officiating? Perhaps it's time we questioned the referees more?
