Former Canuck announces his retirement
After 9 years, 243 NHL games and 397 AHL games, the defenseman announces his retirement from professional hockey.
Alex Biega announced today, at 34 years of age, his retirement from professional hockey. In his career he cumulated 42 points in the NHL and 129 points in the AHL.
He spent his time mostly in the Canucks organization, but also with the Red Wings and the Leafs. Now he's retiring in order to take more time with his family. We're wishing him the best of luck moving forward!
