MAJOR | Terrible update on Tanner Pearson and his career is in jeopardy
The Canucks' medical team was under review earlier this season regarding the treatment they gave Tanner Pearson. After multiple surgeries and a load of time off, at this point it goes to wonder whether or not he'll ever play in the NHL again.
Rick Dhaliwal gave an update this week and after the team announced a major setback earlier this season, there's absolutely nothing positive that comes out of this.
Pearson has already undergone surgery on five different occasions and there no confirmation yet whether or not he will need more. Although the belief was that Pearson would be available for the upcoming training camp, the recent setback indicates he may need to sit the 2023-2024 season as well.
Tanner Pearson has only taking parts in 14 games this year and the last one goes all the way back to November 9th 2022, in Montreal. He'll be under contract for the next season, if he doesn't make it back prior to the end of his deal. It'll be extremely hard for him to make it back to an NHL line-up as 32-year-old.
Pearson was a first-round Selection back in 2012 and he fails to recover properly soon, he may have to call it career.
