NEWS: Canucks sign new goaltender
Canucks' top goaltender Thatcher Demko was injured in their last meeting on Thursday and therefore needed a replacement.
Earlier this week Collin Delia was called up from the minors, leaving a spot open with the Abbotsford Canucks. The matter was adressed today when they announced a new signature:
Jake Kupsky (a former San Jose draft pick in 2015) is the chosen one, the new Abbotsford goalkeeper has been guarding the net in the ECHL with the Idaho Steelheads, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and the South Carolina Stingrays. Before signing his AHL deal, the masked man compiled a 32-26-3 record, a SV% of 0.914 and a GAA of 2.42.
He was the ECHL's goaltender of the month in November. He'll dress in Abbotsford's next matchup tonight.
