We're now exactly just one week away from the most exciting time of the NHL season, the trade deadline day.
The Canucks are going to be very busy trying to trade away talent for picks and prospects, but the Canucks are also believed to be interested in several players, let's go through that list.
Roslovic hasn't panned out in Columbus, but could be a nice fit in Vancouver. The 26-year-old has one year left on his current contract that pays him $4 million dollars annually.
2. Edmonton Oilers right winger, Jesse Puljujärvi.
Puljujärvi is a former fourth overall pick back in 2016, but hasn't been able to live up to his potential in Edmonton. The 24-year-old is a pending RFA and is currently making $3 million dollars.
Greenway has been rumored for the past few weeks to be heading to Vancouver as part of the
Brock Boeser trade, if it comes to futrition. Greenway is 26 years old and is currently under contract till 2026 with a salary of $3 million.
4. Anaheim Ducks left winger, Maxime Comtois.
The Canucks have been high on Comtois since his draft year, but the Ducks didn't want to trade him then. Comtois's offence dried up only scoring five goals this season. He is a pending RFA and is currently making $2.4 million dollars.
5. New York Rangers right winger, Vitali Kravtsov.
Kravtsov is getting alot of attention around the League including the Canucks. The former 2018 9th overall pick requested a trade for lack of playing time and being sent back to the AHL. The 24-year-old would be a nice addition to the Canucks, if they can make a deal with the Rangers. Kravtsov is a pending RFA with an annual salary of just $875,000.
6. Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman, Cal Foote.
Foote is a chip off the old block, son of former Avalanche defenceman Adam Foote. The 24-year-old is a very good young defenceman on a stacked Lightning roster. Foote is looking to find another team that he can play a bigger role in, and the Canucks could definitely use a player of Foote's caliber. He's currently a pending RFA and he's currently making $850,000.
I think they're all solid choices for the Canucks, but personally I'd like to see the Canucks step up and acquire both Kravtsov and Foote. They're both entering their primes and could definitely have much bigger roles in Vancouver.
