There was no stopping the Canucks' new captain this new year. Ever since Quinn Hughes came up to the NHL, he's been racking up franchise and NHL records. This year was no different.
The Canucks captain established a new career high in points and new single season point total in franchise history. Even though he's already beaten in own previous mark, we're still counting as he isn't done piling them up.
The Canucks issued multiple statements on their last home ice refusal at season game in regards to their various team awards. Fair to say, nobody was surprised when they announced that Hughes had been named as the team's top Defenseman:
From single-season bests to franchise records, it was a year for the record books for our Captain.
For the fifth time in a row, Quinn Hughes is your winner of the Walter (Babe) Pratt Trophy for «Best Defenceman»! 👏
It didn't stop there for the Canucks captain. He also earned the Henrik and Daniel Sedin award for his involvement within the community:
Exemplifying community leadership with the launch of the Team 43 program and support of firefighters across B.C., the Daniel & Henrik Sedin Award goes to Quinn Hughes!
The fact that Hughes manages to win both of these award, not only show his commitment to the game or the team's results. It also shows his strong attachment to the community. Definitely the kind of things you like to see from your captain.
