LATEST | Insider sheds light on Elias Pettersson's relationship with J.T. Miller
Tons of different rumours have been circulating, speculating why Elias Pettersson would withhold from any extension talks.
A recent report from a Toronto insider earlier today suggested that the ''locker room may not be as tight as it looks or should be'' and social media around the team went ballistic.
The insider mentioned that the team's offensive leaders, J.T. Miller and Elias Peterson, have always been known not to be best friends. However, both have stated in previous years that their thirst for success eventually brought them closer together.
Following this report, Frank Seravalli was called on Canucks Army to address the situation and confirmed that. The allegations couldn't have been more false:
"There's probably a kernel of truth there that Pettersson & Miller are not close and are not friends...my understanding of the situation is that it's much more copacetic."
Elias Pettersson was specially asked whether or not he got along with Miller during an interview, and the man himself stated that they had grown fond of each other over the years.
We may never know whether there is a reason for Pettersson not re-signing. The latest reports suggest he's working on an eight-year deal, and hopefully, it gets done.
