LATEST | Devastating development regarding Flames assistant GM Chris Snow
Calgary Flames Assistant General Manager Chris Snow remains in the intensive care unit in hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest on Tuesday, with scans showing he also had a major brain injury.
Chris Snow's wife, Kelsie, shared on Wednesday that doctors didn't think her husband would be able to wake up from this. Unfortunately, in a post on X on Thursday, she passed along an update that further tests confirmed that Chris will not wake up.
Kelsie Snow went on to mention that Chris offered his body to help others through a clinical trial and that he remains on life support while organ donations are arraigned.
"Tests yesterday confirmed that Chris will not wake up. In life, Chris offered his body to a clinical trial to help others. In death he will do the same. He remains on life support while organ donation is arranged. We are so proud of him." Kelsie Snow said.
Chris Snow has been working with the Calgary Flames for the last 12 years and in 2019, was promoted to become an Assistant General Manager with the organization. Shortly before his promotion, Snow was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, which is a neurological disease that affects motor neurons.
The thoughts of everyone here at Canucks Daily are with the Snow family and Calgary Flames organization at this extremely difficult time.
