John Tortorella's fate with the Vancouver Canucks has just been confirmed by NHL insider

A new report by a trusted NHL insider has just confirmed that former Canucks head coach John Tortorella's future with Vancouver will not be coming to fruition despite the rumors of his return and the departure of Rick Tocchet.
Now that the Vancouver Canucks are with out a head coach as Rick Tocchet decided it was in his best interest to part ways and explore hos options in the NHL, the biggest question mark now is who is going to replace him?
Insider confirms John Tortorella will not be joining the Vancouver Canucks
Since being fired by the Philadelphia Flyers, Tortorella's has expressed that he still has more left in the tank and is searching for a new team to help lead to the playoffs, and one of the options on the table is a former team he used to coach.
As stated, despite the rumors, Tortorella's fate with the Vancouver Canucks has been decided and will not be joining the Canucks, but instead, according to an NHL insider, he will be joining the New York Rangers.
During a recent appearance on the Flames Nation podcast, TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger shared that one team that makes sense for John Tortorella is the New York Rangers and that's only if they decide to move on from Peter Laviolette.
"For me, the New York Rangers are the only team that, right now, makes sense. And the reason I feel like that, and no disrespect to Peter Laviolette, it's because I know that James Dolan, the owner of the New York Rangers, loves John Tortorella." Dreger said.
He went on to add, "What I do know is you've got a very hands-on, volatile owner who is not going to sit back and say 'Yeah, okay, status quo, that works. I'm comfortable with the way things are.' He does like John Tortorella, so that would be a scenario that does make some sense."

Hearing from a source John Tortorella will be joining the Rangers.
Although this was published, the turns out that this report was also false and the future of John Tortorella int he NHL is still hanging in the balance as there is not confirmation that he has found a new position.
Hearing this is incorrect #NYR
It will be one interesting offseason as anytime looking for a culture change and a hard nose coach will be picking up the phone to offer Tortorella a job as the leader behind their bench.
