LATEST | Blackhawks GM finally adresses the Corey Perry situation
The Chicago Blackhawks finally addressed the ongoing situation with Corey Perry that has led to his contract termination, but the team's press conference has hardly shed any light.
GM Kyle Davidson took questions from the media on Tuesday afternoon. While he didn't confirm the circumstances of Perry's exit from the team and subsequent contract termination, he dispelled a rumour that has spread on social media over the last few days.
Davidson was visibly shaken, saying, "It's been a tough couple of days," and added that Perry being brought in as a leadership presence made the situation more challenging to swallow.
The Blackhawks have shared little info since Perry first exited from the team last week, and Tuesday's press conference has done little to quiet speculation.
