Price's wife said she had to go check out the rumours on Twitter, but shut down the speculation of him working for the team pretty quicky, pointing out that he still has three years left on his contract.
Price, 35, missed all of last season and the majority of the 2021-22 season due to a significant knee injury. It's unclear if or when Price will return to action, but the Anahim Lake, British Columbia native told Sportsnet back in October 2022 that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.
There's no doubt that Price will become a Hall of Famer for what he's done for the Canadiens as well on the international stage for Canada at the World Juniors, Olympics and World Cup of Hockey.
Do you think Price will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
