The Vancouver Canucks are going to need to make a big decision with forward Arshdeep Bains in the near future as he's been a healthy scratch for nearly two weeks.

As the Vancouver Canucks continue to deal with injury issues to their forward group, Patrik Allvin has been hard at work trying to fill the gaps and most recently, signed 500+ game NHL veteran David Kampf to a one-year deal worth $1.1 million USD.
Even though the Canucks have a few forwards on the sidelines with injuries right now, 24-year-old forward Arshdeep Bains has struggled to find ice time despite impressing Head Coach Adam Foote in training camp, leading to his inclusion on the opening night roster.
"Well that's a good question because it'll come if he does the right things and he'll play if he's predictable and reliable, and he knows that. What I like is that he's been real reliable and predictable and in saying that, I don't want to put any pressure where he's gonna go out there and worry about his decisions at the blue line, every time he enters the blue line. But to know I'd rather see the right plays as far as, you know, making strong plays with the puck rather than making high-end plays and managing the game and who your opponent is, who you're on the ice with and he has done that and the points will follow." Foote said.

Vancouver Canucks will need to make big decision with Arshdeep Bains soon

As the Vancouver Canucks took to the ice for warmup on Sunday night ahead of their clash with the Calgary Flames, Arshdeep Bains wasn't among those in attendance, meaning that he was set to be a healthy scratch for the fifth consecutive game.
"Arshdeep Bains #Canucks (0 PTS in last 4 GP)

Bains was scratched for the fifth straight game in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Flames." @DobberNews said.
The Surrey, British Columbia native has appeared in 18 games this season for the Canucks, but hasn't contributed much of anything offensively with just three assists to go along with eight penalty minutes and a minus-two rating.
Whether it's before the head out on their four-game road trip to California & Colorado or if they wait until someone like Teddy Blueger is able to return from injury, it's inevitable that Arsdheep Bains is going to end up on the NHL's waiver wire.
It's unlikely that Bains would be claimed by another team and he'll be able to go down to the American Hockey League, play top line minutes and prove that he can still be a valuable depth piece later on in the season if injuries continue to pop up in Vancouver.
