LATEST | Former Canuck hired back in an NHL Front Office
The Flyers have entered a full rebuild and started at the club's heads. From the General Manager to the President of Hockey Operations to big names on the team's roster, no one was spared.
The Philadelphia-based team continues on their path of rebuilding as they will announce their hiring of the very well-known Bob Murray as a Senior Advisor. Murray joined the NHL business in 1975 as a player and has been a staff member since 1991. Murray has done everything from Director of player personnel to scout to General Manager to VP of Hockey OPS.
Murray acted as a Pro Scout with the Canucks from 1999 to 2004. Murray was a notable participant of the builders who led the Anaheim Ducks to a Stanley Cup win in 2007. A veteran of 48 years in the NHL, he sure is a great addition to the young group leading the Flyers.
Murray was employed in the NHL by the Calgary Flames where he was a Scout in 2021-2022.
