Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes has entered some pretty elite company in franchise history after a four-assist night against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.

The Vancouver Canucks continued their three-game road trip on Sunday afternoon as they took on the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have been dealing with injury issues of their own of late, most notably to forwards Anthony Cirelli and Brandon Hagel, along with defensemen Victor Hedman and Ryan McDonagh.
Despite going down 2-0, Adam Foote's group battled back to score six unanswered goals from six different players, including Kiefer Sherwood, who is now up to 12 in 20 games this season.
Last night's game in Tampa Bay also marked the return of captain Quinn Hughes, who missed Friday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes due to an undisclosed injury and he showed up in a big way for his club last night, entering some elite company in franchise history.

Heading into last night's tilt, Hughes was sitting at 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 14 games and was due for a breakout night, which is exactly what the Vancouver Canucks got from their captain on Sunday.
The 26-year-old blueliner picked up a whopping four assists in the win to bring his point total up to 17 (one goal, 16 assists) in 15 games and in doing so, climbed up the record books in the team's 55-year history.
In a social media post, the Canucks shared that Quinn Hughes is now top-five in franchise history for power play points after picking up a pair of PP assists on Sunday.
Hughes, who now has 174 power play points in his career, surpassed Toni Tanti for fifth and has a long way to go if he wants to reach the top, with 195 points separating him and Henrik Sedin, who is in first place on that list.
"The Captain moving on 🆙

With an assist today, Quinn Hughes is top 5 in power play points in #Canucks history." the Canucks said on X.
It's certainly an impressive feat for the Orlando, Florida native, who fans are hoping will put pen-to-paper on a contract extension next summer to stick around in Vancouver long-term, which will give him a legit chance of breaking Henrik Sedin's record.
Hughes will look to continue his climb up the Vancouver Canucks' leaderboard on Monday night as the club wraps up their three-game road trip with a stop in Sunrise, Florida to take on the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers, with puck drop set for 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
