The Canucks have definitely found a gem when they signed the undrafted free agent Arshdeep Bains. The youngster was outstanding as a 20-year-old WHLer, excelled in his first professional season in the AHL and has been tremendous for the Abbotsford Canucks thus far this season.

The youngster has been putting on a show since the season started, he now has collected 17 points in his first 13 games this season. Bains has generated so much attention that the league has started issuing statement regarding his performances:

�'.@Arshdeepbains__possesses a strong feel for the game and good vision. He is well-rounded and trustworthy. And he battles. That's a package that will endear a player to any coach.''

In this article, it was revealed that the Canucks like the rookie so much, that they had him as a guest speaker during the most recent Player Development Camp, despite being a rookie himself:

Vancouver likes the 22-year-old Bains off the ice as well. So much so that they had him as a speaker for their prospects at their development camp this past summer.
