LATEST | Canucks linked to a three time cup winning veteran
Due to their hot start, we know the Canucks have been out shopping. Allvin has openly stated that his main target would be a right handed Defenseman to add to their depth, but it was also revealed that they be interested in acquiring a scoring winger to their bottom-6.
REUNITING WITH AN OLD FRIEND?
The former Penguins tri-fecta, Tocchet, Allvin and Rutherford, have reportedly been linked to the former 50 goal scorer Phil Kessel. According to Rick Dhaliwal, the Canucks have been poking around since the winger won the Cup with the Golden Knights.
Tocchet's long-standing relationship with the holder of the current Iron-Man streak could make him a valuable addition to the team.
Obviously, Kessel has been an offensive threat his whole career, but his best years came during his time with the Penguins with Tocchet behind the bench. Kessel already admitted that he'd be willing to come back to a League minimum salary, the Canucks would still however need to move some money around to make it happen.
Would adding Phil Kessel be worth the headache? Would he be a valuable asset to the team?
