Tyler Myers has been playing the best hockey he's played ever since he joined the Canucks a few years back. Under Tocchet and Foote, the giant-format Defenseman has performed well and has succeeded in his new role.
There is an apparent rivalry between the Canucks and the Kraken, which raises the stakes and intensity. Myers has been known to bring his ‘mean-game' whenever they visit the Kraken. The 6'8'' Defenseman injured one of their top young player in Matty Beniers last year and, when they last met, threw a ‘late' hit on Oliver Bjorkstrand, to which nobody answered.
Ian Furness, Kraken beat reporter, called out Tyler Myers when he was on Donnie and Dhali earlier today and called him a big dummy:
Myers is on a contract year and is currently showing that he still has a place in the NHL. On pace for his Canucks' best and possibly career best, he has 10 points through 22 games and is on pace for 37 points beating his current Canucks' best 21.
