It generated quite an online stir when the Canucks' bench boss decided to scratch one of the team's star play Andrei Kuzmenko for back-to-back venues.

A DEGRADING RELATIONSHIP?
Rick Tocchet had already given the hard treatment to the winger in the latter stages of last season, but his message didn't go through correctly.
On Donnie and Dhali, Rick Dhaliwal talked about the ongoing situation between the two. He may have revealed too much information from his prior conversation with the renowned hockey agent Dan Milstein.
Based on previous similar situations, where the players weren't entirely satisfied with their utilization, Milstein has been known to press the trade request rapidly. Just like the situation with Nikita Zadorov in Calgary:
Taylor on Kuz: Have you contacted his agent, Dan Milstein?

Dhaliwal: That's going to remain confidential.

Taylor: That would be Yes, then

Dhaliwal: I can't say, Don! Do you think Dan is doing cartwheels?

Taylor: Maybe there's a trade request coming?

Dhaliwal: That's an angle we haven't talked about. You look at Zadorov in Calgary, a Milstein client who wasn't happy with his ice-time and demanded a trade.

The Russian winger signed a two-year extension worth $11M last year when he collected an outstanding 74 points in 81 games. His production hasn't been as steady, with 14 points in 19 outings, currently pacing for 59 points. On top of that, Tocchet is holding him accountable for his below-par two-way game.
