The Vancouver Canucks have announced which players have received qualifying offers ahead of the 5 p.m. ET deadline today.
Defenceman Akito Hirose, as well as forward Nils Hoglander and Vitali Kravtsov HAVE received qualifying offers from the Canucks. It's worth noting that while Kravtsov has signed a multi-year deal in the KHL, the Canucks will retain his rights after qualifying him.
A trio of players DID NOT to receive a qualifying offer from the Canucks on Friday and they were - Ethan Bear, Travis Dermott and Carson Focht. All three players will become unrestricted free agents at 12 p.m. ET on Friday.
The most notable name of the three above is Ethan Bear, who suffered an injury at the World Championship, underwent surgery and won't be able to play until December. His qualifying offer of $2.2 million was too high for the Canucks to consider given his injury, but it's possible he will return on a lower AAV as an unrestricted free agent.
