Tocchet began "...honestly some guys were working...they worked hard...they had a great line-up...we just gotta learn..."
The Canucks had a line-up that consisted of mostly rookies and young players with a few NHL regulars.
The Flames had a lot of their key guys in.
Nazem Kadri,
Elias Lindholm,
Chris Tanev,
Jonathan Huberdeau,
Noah Hanifin and
Jacob Markstrom all participated in yesterday's game. With the line-ups having very different skill levels, it is no wonder that the Canucks had a tough game.
Tocchet answered a question about
Nils Hoglander's positive saying "...I thought...he was one of the positives tonight, he's just gotta learn...don't get frustrated...that's the next level for him..."
Tocchet has characterized this game as a "Learning experience" as they move on. The Canucks are set to face off with the Oilers in their next preseason game on Wednesday.
