Rick Tocchet spoke about Bains, saying, "I didn't know much about him...[The Abbotsford coaches] love him, and now, as I started watching him, I'm like, ‘Oh, man, this kid's a player.' There's potential there, so you want to give a guy like [Bains] a shot..." (Canucks Army)
Bains will have to fight every step of the way to get out of camp as a Canuck, but at this point, I wouldn't count him out, either. We will see what the Canucks have planned for Bains' development.
