An NHL insider shared recently which other Vancouver Canucks may end up on waivers before the NHL's opening night roster submission deadline on Monday afternoon.

We're getting very close to the start of the 2025-26 season and teams around the National Hockey League will be making their final cuts ahead of opening night next Tuesday, which will feature a tripleheader including the Florida Panthers raising their Stanley Cup banner.
General Manager Patrik Allvin & the Vancouver Canucks still weighing their options when it comes to who will and won't make their opening night roster, with the club already placing Vitali Kravtsov on waivers on Thursday, followed by Nils Aman on Friday morning.
As the Canucks get set to make more cuts to their training camp roster over the next couple of days, one insider believes that the club will need to utilize the waiver wire once again.

Insider shares which other Vancouver Canucks may end up on NHL's waiver wire

During a recent edition of Canucks Conversation, Irfaan Gaffar spoke about the cuts that Patrik Allvin & Adam Foote will need to make with the team's roster this weekend, particularly with the forward group.
Gaffar shared that he believes Vancouver Canucks fans will see another familiar face or two on the National Hockey League's waiver wire before Monday, with the analyst mentioning Arshdeep Bains and Linus Karlsson as two potential options.
"I don't think the Canucks are afraid of losing Arshdeep Bains on waivers at all. I really don't. I think the reason why he is here is because he has done enough this far to make a case for himself. I also don't think that they're afraid of losing a guy like Linus Karlsson either. I think that if you look through the National Hockey League right now, you see the guys that are going on waivers every team has their own version of an Arshdeep Bains, every team right now has their own version of a Linus Karlsson, of a guy like a Max Sasson. So, you probably know in the back of your mind that you can sneak these guys through waivers, whether it's on Saturday, whether it's on Sunday, or obviously Monday before you have to submit your rosters. So that's kind of what I think about on waivers there." Gaffar said.
If the Vancouver Canucks were to lose one of, or even both of Arshdeep Bains and Linus Karlsson to another team via waivers, which is very unlikely, it wouldn't be the end of the world, as the club has enough depth at the the forward position, especially those that can play in a bottom-six role.
It's going to be interesting to see how the next few days play out with Vancouver's roster planning and who will end up rounding out the team's bottom-six forward group, with upwards of six players still vying for just two spots.
