Canucks' Elias Pettersson Earns Major Honor
Vancouver Canucks defensive prospect Elias Pettersson is in his first full season here in North America with the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks and is already raising some eyebrows.
In 30 games with Abbotsford this season, the Vasteras, Sweden native has 12 points (one goal, 11 assists), 32 penalty minutes and is a plus-five. His 12 points are second-most on Abbotsford among defensemen, only trailing fellow rookie Kirill Kudryavtsev who has 16 in 27 games.
Pettersson's strong play in Abbotsford hasn't gone unnoticed and it looks like he'll be heading to the American Hockey League's marquee event in just a matter of weeks.
Elias Pettersson named to Pacific Division's roster for 2025 AHL All-Star Classic
