With only a few shorts weeks until July 1st where superstar forward Elias Pettersson's no trade clause officially kicks in, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun gives an important update on whether or not any changes have occurred when it comes to their desire to trade him.
The 2024-2025 season for the Vancouver Canucks and Elias Pettersson were surely one to forget, but unfortunately, with all the drama and highly publicized headlines, no one will be forgetting it any time soon.
Early on Tuesday, an update came to the surface that indicated the Vancouver Canucks were entertaining more trade calls for Pettersson, especially due to his no-move clause coming into affect.

But, just a day later, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reported that the attitude towards the team looking to move on from the Swedish superstar has changed due to his attitude and work ethic early in the offseason.
"All signs point to the Canucks keeping Elias Pettersson...The Canucks are encouraged by Pettersson's approach this offseason...here were teams monitoring that situation given how thin the UFA market is. But it sounds like Vancouver wants to keep him"
