A two-time Stanley Cup champion has landed on the trade block heading into the summer and could be an option for Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks.

This summer, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin and President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford are going to be quite busy, as the latter promised the team will be aggressive in their pursuit of forward help, primarily in their top-six.
With July 1st looming and the expectation that Brock Boeser will hit the open market, Allvin and Rutherford are going to need to find a suitable replacement for the former 40-goal scorer and most likely, the only way they'll be able to achieve that is through trade.

Two-time Stanley Cup champion may be option for Vancouver Canucks after being placed on trade block

For the past month, several names have popped up as potential replacements for Brock Boeser, including including pending UFA Nikolaj Ehlers and Pittsburgh Penguins forward Bryan Rust, who may reportedly be available this summer.
Rust, a two-time Stanley Cup champion would be a great option for the Vancouver Canucks after coming off the best season of his NHL career and while they could be in the mix for him when his no-movement clause expires on July 1st, it appears that another player that's hoisted the hockey's greatest trophy twice is available for trade.
In a post on social media on Wednesday, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period said that the Detroit Red Wings are exploring the market for Russian forward Vladimir Tarasenko, who won the Stanley Cup in 2019 with St. Louis and last year with Florida.
"Another name to keep tabs on this month: Vladimir Tarasenko, who is going into the final year of his contract. His name is out there again and the Detroit Red Wings are exploring the market." Pagnotta said.
Tarasenko, 33, appeared in 80 games for the Detroit Red Wings this season where he put up 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists), six penalty minutes and was a minus-13.
The Yaroslavl native has one year remaining on his contract with a cap hit of $4.75 million and has a modified no-trade clause, with an eight-team no-trade list.
If the Vancouver Canucks aren't on Tarasenko's no-trade list, they should inquire with the Detroit Red Wings about what it would take to land him and at worst, he could be a solid depth option for Adam Foote, especially if Patrik Allvin can get Steve Yzerman to retain some salary on the former Stanley Cup champion.
