The agent for Vancouver Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek, Allan Walsh, has slammed the National Hockey League for continuing to allow dangerous hits to the head.
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek has had a pretty good start to the 2025-26 season on both sides of the puck with nine assists in 19 games and
with Quinn Hughes missing Friday's contest due to an undisclosed injury, it was the 28-year-old's time to step up and take on an even bigger role against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Unfortunately for the Canucks, in the third period, Filip Hronek was on the receiving end of a hit to the head by Carolina Hurricanes forward
Andrei Svechnikov and after no penalty was called on the play, his agent Allan Walsh took to social media to blast the National Hockey League.
"Filip Hronek has left the game after this elbow from Andrei Svechnikov 😳"

In a post on social media following last night's game, prominent agent Allan Walsh slammed the National Hockey League and their officials, saying that by allowing hits such as the one on Filip Hronek, it's open season on players' brains.
"Here we go again! The National Concussion League. Open season on NHL players' brains. No call on the play. If only the referee were in a position to have a clear view of the play." Walsh said.
Walsh didn't stop there, as he called out the head of the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety, George Parros and his staff, adding that all they'll probably do is issue a fine and call it a day.
"Parros and his merry band of Kangaroos quietly plotting another fine. Cue the press release." Walsh said.
"Seems significant when you're knocked out of the game in the last minutes of the 3rd period by a lunging elbow to the head." Walsh added in another post.
As of 9 a.m. PT, there has been no word from the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety on whether or not they'll review the hit and suspend or fine Andrei Svechnikov, something that without a doubt will frustrate the Vancouver Canucks and Allan Walsh even further.
Meanwhile, there hasn't been an update from the Vancouver Canucks on Filip Hronek's status just yet as the club gears up for the second game of their road trip on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, with puck drop set for just after 2 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
