Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote has given a big injury update on defenseman Victor Mancini, who hasn't played since October 26th against the Edmonton Oilers.

The Vancouver Canucks have had a difficult time with injuries since the start of the 2025-26 season with Teddy Blueger, Filip Chytil, Thatcher Demko, Derek Forbort and Victor Mancini currently on the sidelines.
Defenseman Victor Mancini left Vancouver's game on October 26th with an injury and was placed on injured reserve by the club a few days later.
Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali reported earlier this month reported earlier this month that Mancini was dealing with an arm injury that'll keep him out for seven-to-ten days from the date he got hurt, but with the 23-year-old now on his 18th day on the sidelines, many have been curious where he is and when he may return.

When meeting with reporters ahead of Tuesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote said that Victor Mancini, who was on the ice in a non-contact sweater, is feeling a lot better and should be able to join them for practice in the near future.
Given the condensed schedule, Vancouver hasn't had a ton of practice time in order to get some of their injured players, such as Victor Mancini, back up to game speed, which isn't helping their recovery or the team's chances of winning on nightly basis.
What we may see here over the next week or so is the Canucks will activate Victor Mancini off injured reserve and send him down to the American Hockey League for a conditioning stint, which is exactly what the club did with Jonathan Lekkerimaki on Wednesday evening.
The other thing the Vancouver Canucks will need to consider is how they'll eventually fit Victor Mancini back onto their National Hockey League roster as Tom Willander has been playing quite well ever since being called up from Abbotsford.
One scenario we could see, if Adam Foote wants to keep Tom Willander around, is Patrik Allvin placing Pierre-Olivier Joseph on waivers in order to assign him to the American Hockey League, but it's far from a guarantee at this point.
