The Vancouver Canucks enter the offseason after a crushing Game 7 defeat at the hands of the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the postseason. They enter an exciting period for the franchise, with intriguing young talent looking to lead them to their first Stanley Cup.
CanucksArmy has listed five potential trade targets to help bolster their roster in hopes of a deeper playoff run, and some of the names are incredibly enticing and would fit the Canucks' roster nicely.
All five being forwards, the most notable are Martin Necas, Nikolaj Ehlers, and Trevor Zegras. All three former first round draft picks have established themselves as certified top-six NHL forwards and have been in the midst of trade rumours as of late.
Many teams have been calling regarding Necas, while Zegras' value is at an all-time low after an injury-riddled season. Frost found himself as a healthy scratch on occasion this season, and Ehlers is entering the final season of his contract which sees him earn $6-million per season.
