Former Vancouver Canucks Forward Abruptly Announces His Retirement From Professional Hockey
A former Vancouver Canucks forward has announced his retirement from professional hockey at the age of 35 after parts of 16 seasons in the NHL and AHL.
The 2024-25 season is now in the rearview mirror and the offseason is officially upon us, with teams around the National Hockey League hard at work trying to prepare their rosters for the upcoming year, including the Vancouver Canucks.
During the offseason, we typically see a handful of players call time on their playing careers, as was the case less than a month ago when former Canucks forward Nick Bonino announced retirement in order to join the Pittsburgh Penguins' coaching staff.
Nick Bonino isn't the only former Vancouver Canuck to announce his retirement this summer following a statement released on Monday morning through the official website for the AHL's Charlotte Checkers.
