An insider has shared what the next contract could look like for Vancouver Canucks pending unrestricted free agent forward Brock Boeser, who is set to hit the open market on Canada Day.
With the National Hockey League's unrestricted free agent window set to open in less than six weeks, the Vancouver Canucks are going to have some difficult decisions to make before July 1st.
Vancouver's most notable free agent this summer is Brock Boeser, who is reportedly seeking a deal with term longer than the five-year contract
he was offered earlier this season and recently, an insider has revealed what the 28-year-old is set to get on the open market.

Frank Seravalli of
Daily Faceoff recently revealed his top-50 free agents list earlier this month and Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser comes in at second, behind only
Mitch Marner of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Seravalli shared a contract projection from AFP Analytics that shows pending unrestricted free agent Brock Boeser is in line to make $8.5 million annually on a six-year deal, which would be a raise of $1.85 million per season.
Boeser is coming off his third straight season with 50 or more points and despite a dip in production this year after scoring 40 goals during the 2023-24 campaign, it's no surprise that he'll be in line for a big payday this summer after earning $6.65 million on his current contract that expires on June 30th.
While many are expecting Brock Boeser,
including himself, to test the free agent market on July 1st, the Vancouver Canucks aren't ruling out the possibility of a potential return next season and beyond.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin
told season ticket holders a couple of weeks ago that he is hoping to work out a deal with Brock Boeser and his agent Ben Hankinson to avoid having the former first round pick hitting the open market this summer.
"We're going to see if there's a chance to keep Brock Boeser." Patrik Allvin said.
Boeser, a native of Burnsville, Minnesota has spent his entire National Hockey League career with the Vancouver Canucks, recording 434 points (204 goals, 230 assists) in 554 games.
If Brock Boeser ends up leaving the Vancouver Canucks this summer and not signing a contract with the club, there won't be a shortage of teams interested in landing him
including his hometown team, the Minnesota Wild.
