According to an NHL insider, a favourite has emerged for Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser, with just over a week to go until the opening of the free agency.
With the National Hockey League's Entry Draft less than a week away and the free agency window set to open in just ten days, action is expected to pick up any day now, as rumors continue to fly about who may end up where on July 1st.
Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser is one of the top free agents available, with the team
not expected to re-sign him and he'll be leaving the only NHL club he's ever known since being drafted ten years ago.

Brock Boeser is going to be quite a popular person on Canada Day, with the forward expected to field offers from several teams around the National Hockey League who are looking for a boost offensively.
As recently as Saturday, Boeser
has been linked to nine different teams by David Pagnotta of
The Fourth Period, among them is the Los Angeles Kings, Tampa Bay Lightning and his hometown Minnesota Wild, who play just 20 minutes away from where he grew up.
"For teams looking to add some scoring punch in their top-six, Boeser is a top option for them to pursue this July.
Teams Reportedly Linked: Los Angeles, Minnesota, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Anaheim, Buffalo, Chicago, Nashville, Detroit" The Fourth Period said.
During a recent edition of the Leafs Morning Take podcast, NHL insider and former Stanley Cup champion Nick Kypreos gave an update on Brock Boeser heading into free agency.
According to Nick Kypreos, Brock Boeser is close to agreeing to terms on a deal with the Minnesota Wild, who are looking for a boost in their top-six.
"Nick Kypreos: Brock Boeser, we assume, is coming real close to terms with the Minnesota Wild - Leafs Morning Take" NHL Rumour Report said on X.
It's worth noting that players cannot talk to teams, unless given permission by the club they're currently employed with, until July 1st, as it would be considered tampering, something the NHL is trying to crack down on this year.
While there may be mutual interest between Brock Boeser and the Minnesota Wild, the two sides can't register a contract with the National Hockey League's Central Registry until 12:01 pm ET (9:01 am PT) on Tuesday, July 1st.
We'll have to wait and see where things go on this front, but it wouldn't come as much of a surprise if Brock Boeser does end up with the Minnesota Wild when Canada Day rolls around.
