The Vancouver Canucks continue to sit atop the NHL with a staggering 78 points, four ahead of the second-place Boston Bruins. They possess a 7-1-2 record in their last 10 games, and have four players producing at a point-per-game or higher.
However, as the trade deadline approaches, the Canucks reportedly may be looking to add toughness to their already-deep roster. According to Rick Dhaliwhal, they had previously expressed interest in fan-favourite Canadiens defender Arber Xhekaj. He is listed as one of nine potential tough-player fits for the Canucks as the deadline draws near.
We're still a few weeks away from the trade deadline, but we'll know Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford have both been extremely active trying to find ways to improve their team.
