A video post on social media recently showed encouraging signs when it comes to Filip Chytil's health ahead of the National Hockey League's 2025-26 season.

If there were three words to describe the Vancouver Canucks' 2024-25 campaign it would be - disappointing, drama & injuries, all of which played a big role in them missing out on the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
Czech forward Filip Chytil, who was acquired in the J.T. Miller trade, was settling in nicely with the Vancouver Canucks until a dangerous hit in mid-March concussed him, ending his season early.
Nearly five months later, Chytil is looking forward to his first full season as a Vancouver Canucks, with him potentially set to play a big top-six role for the club when the puck drops in October.

Video shows encouraging signs regarding Filip Chytil's health

In a video post to social media a couple of weeks ago, Filip Chytil is seen working out and getting ready for the 2025-26 season, which is a very positive sign with his fifth documented concussion now in the past.
"Filip chytil sign of life, our 2c getting stronger 💪🏻 #Canucks" @Canucks_Enjoyer said on X.
Chytil was interviewed recently by Czech media outlet Hokej,cz where he opened up about his concussion suffered back in March and gave a very positive update about how he's feeling now, with six weeks to go until training camp.
"A concussion is an injury that is not visible to you at first glance. For example, if you have a broken arm, everyone can see it right away and everyone knows what to do. Head injuries are tricky. That's why communication with those closest to you is very important. You can't be afraid to confide in them so that those closest to you know how you're feeling. The support from my family, from my wife and friends, has helped me a lot." Chytil said.

When asked if he's back to 100 percent health now, Chytil added, "Fortunately yes, knock on wood. I've been getting ready for the new season full-time since the beginning of May."

The Kromeriz, Czechia native appeared in just 15 games with the Vancouver Canucks after January's trade out of New York, registering six points (two goals, four assists), four penalty minutes and was a minus-11.
Hopefully, Chytil can remain healthy for the full season and contribute in a big way in the team's top-six, potentially aiming for the second 20+ goal campaign of his career.
