National Hockey League insider Frank Seravalli has linked Vancouver Canucks pending unrestricted free agent forward Brock Boeser to an Original Six franchise.

With the start of the National Hockey League's free agency period just two weeks away, the Vancouver Canucks have some big decisions to make regarding forwards Brock Boeser and Pius Suter, both of whom are likely to hit the open market.
In late May, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported that it's a longshot that Brock Boeser returns to the Vancouver Canucks and since then, there's been conflicting information regarding the American forward and it looks like if he does test the market, an Original Six team could be in the mix.

Insider says Original Six franchise could target Brock Boeser this summer

Late last week, Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali reported that the Vancouver Canucks and Brock Boeser might not be done together and that the 28-year-old could circle back to the team, if he doesn't get a deal he likes on July 1st.
"The Canucks keep in contact with his agent. They are showing interest, but it sounds like Boeser wants to test July 1st." Dhaliwal said.

He added, "If things don't go his way, I get the feeling that Boeser would be willing to talk with Vancouver again."

Contrary to that, Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff shared on Monday's edition of Canucks Central that he believes the door is shut between the Canucks and Boeser and that he'll be leaving the club on Canada Day.
Seravalli went on to add that one team to keep an eye on in the Brock Boeser sweepstakes is the Boston Bruins, who have have a new Head Coach behind the bench - former Vancouver Canucks forward Marco Sturm.
After missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season for the first time since 2016, the Boston Bruins are hoping to make a big addition or two this summer and according to PuckPedia, have roughly $26.2 million to work with, which should be more than enough to help them land a significant piece, such as Brock Boeser.
If Brock Boeser were to end up with the Boston Bruins, the Burnsville, Minnesota native would more than likely play on their second line, potentially alongside his former Vancouver Canucks teammate Elias Lindholm.
While the Vancouver Canucks and their fans are hoping that something will get done in the next 14 days to keep Brock Boeser in British Columbia, it feels like his time with the organization is over and he'll begin a new chapter of his career on July 1st.
