Noah Juulsen Leaves the Vancouver Canucks Just Minutes into Free Agency to Join Former Head Coach Rick Tocchet
Defenseman Noah Juulsen has officially left the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday and has reportedly put pen-to-paper on a contract with an Eastern Conference team.
The National Hockey League's free agent market officially opened at 9 am PT and there are a number of current and former Vancouver Canucks that will be looking for a new home this summer.
"Looks like defenseman Noah Juulsen will test free agency on July 1st." Dhaliwal said yesterday.

It didn't take Noah Juulsen long to find his new home today as shortly after the market opened, PuckPedia reported that the Surrey, British Columbia native has agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way contract with the Philadelphia Flyers worth $900,000 US.
"The #LetsGoFlyers have signed 28 y/o UFA D Noah Juulsen to a 1 Year, 1 Way contract worth $900K
Rep'd by Jason Davidson @TC_wolfpack" PuckPedia said.
Juulsen, 28, spent the last four seasons in Vancouver where he appeared in 109 games, registering nine points (one goal, eight assists), 49 penalty minutes and was a minus-16.
By signing with the Philadelphia Flyers on July 1st, Noah Juulsen will now reunite with his former Head Coach in Vancouver, Rick Tocchet,
who was named their bench boss back in May on a five-year, $25 million US contract.
Juulsen will come into training camp with Philadelphia in September looking for a full-time role in the National Hockey League, something he had in Vancouver the last two seasons, however his 2024-25 campaign was cut short due to an injury that required surgery.
It's going to be interesting to see if Noah Juulsen is able to make the Philadelphia Flyers' opening night roster and if he does, what role will he play under Rick Tocchet - most likely will be be on the third pairing and potentially, the second penalty killing unit.
