It's been a couple of days since
J.T. Miller was traded to the Rangers, and there is already speculation about Quinn Hughes and if he still desires to be a Canuck despite the rumors of a rebuild.
Hughes' agent Pat Brisson was pretty outspoken amid the rumors to Hughes not being happy with the Canucks.
He made it very clear that the Norris winning defenseman wants to remain in Vancouver, but understands that his contract expires in two years, and a lot can happen between now and then.
"I think people should settle down. It's a long way away, and just let him play. He loves being a Canuck. He's been given every role, and he's happy, so let's just get this team going strong, and that will take care of itself."
Quinn Hughes has battled some injuries this season that have kept him out of the lineup a several occasions, which leads to the announcement today that he will miss his second consecutive game with an undisclosed ailment as the team faces the Colorado Avalanche.

Hughes not only playing with 1 hand, but now with whatever lower body injury this is.
Perhaps his best attribute, his skating, hindered.
When it looked like he most probably would be playing tonight against Colorado, Rick Tocchet gave the reason for sitting Hughes again, saying that the superstar wants to play and feels healthy, but the team ultimately decided to give him some more rest.
Rick Tocchet said Hughes is out tonight. He said he wants to play, but he he's being monitored closely. Later when Tocchet was asked about Hughes simply needing rest, the coach said «not playing the next couple of games, use that as a positive that he is getting rest, that's how you have to look at it" -- so we'll see about at SJS & vs TOR later this week
