Vancouver Canucks broadcaster and long-time NHL forward Ray Ferrero has confirmed some big news ahead of the 2025-26 season that fans will be very happy about.

The 2025-26 season is right around the corner, with Vancouver kicking things off on Thursday, October 9th at Rogers Arena against the Calgary Flames.
Major networks like TSN and Sportsnet are slowly beginning to confirm their broadcasting plans for the upcoming season and while we know all of Vancouver's games are set to be shown on the latter, as they always are, there was some news this week from another club that involved one of the Canucks' colour commentators that left fans confused.

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Kings announced their broadcasting team for the 2025-26 season which will feature John Kelly as the main play-by-play man, with Jim Fox as the lead analyst.
In addition to Fox, Los Angeles revealed three more names for their broadcasting team - former Kings forward Jarret Stoll, long-time NHLer Tony Granato, as well as Ray Ferraro - who also works part-time on Vancouver Canucks games on Sportsnet Pacific
"Longtime NHL broadcaster John Kelly has been named the LA Kings' lead play-by-play announcer on FanDuel Sports Network, and he'll be joined in the booth this season by long time Kings analyst Jim Fox, the team and network announced. In addition to Fox, former Kings Tony Granato, Ray Ferraro and Jarret Stoll are each set to fill the analyst role for select telecasts." the Los Angeles Kings said.

With Ferraro taking on this part-time role on Los Angeles Kings broadcasts, along with his main role at ESPN & ABC, Vancouver Canucks fans were wondering if his time on Sportsnet Pacific was coming to a close, just two years after joining them.
Well, that won't be the case as Ray Ferraro confirmed on social media that he will be returning to select Vancouver Canucks games for a third season starting this fall.
"Nope Just getting my schedule together, but will be back for sure with the Canucks." Ferraro said on X on Thursday."
While it's unclear as to when exactly Ray Ferraro will make his season debut in the broadcast booth for the Vancouver Canucks, their first regional game will be in the preseason, as they host the Seattle Kraken on Friday, September 26th.
